Bryan Azorsky will be interviewing Arthur Katz, a brand expert and strategic marketing planner and consultant, who came out of the advertising agency business where he functioned as Senior Vice President of Marketing Services. He also founded an in-house consultancy named The Marketing Group. He’s been at it over 30 years, with the last 18 functioning as an independent consultant. He founded Emotives Marketing, LLC to concentrate on brand positioning and emotional links between the consumer and the brand, and to bring such capabilities to the web.

Katz has performed strategic plans for a variety of businesses, from the United States Olympic Committee and Sprint (in both the U.S. and in Canada) as well as strategic projects for many leading brands, including some of the Top 100 advertisers in North America. He also has worked with many emerging, small and mid-sized businesses.

The subject of the show is the Brand Foundation Plan and the importance of a Strategic Marketing Plan.

Norman Whittaker, Executive Producer for Pixelmedia

As a member of the Professional Services team at PixelMEDIA, Norm Whittaker’s primary role is as Executive Producer. He is also the Solution Manager for Search Engine Strategy and Product User Interface Design Solutions. His responsibilities include driving alignment among business, technical and creative resources to bring great ideas to reality. This involves defining requirements and risk, recommending approaches and managing the execution of strategic initiatives by leading cross-functional teams from concept to completion.

Mr. Whittaker has been instrumental in developing and leading new solutions and process improvements within PixelMEDIA. He developed and deployed the Search Engine Strategy and User Interface Design Solutions and created procedures for Information Architecture, Usability, and Content Strategy & Messaging. Mr. Whittaker has also improved process and project plans to incorporate Usability, Information Design, Applications Development, Content Strategy and Search Engine Strategies. Another notable contribution was his drive in the conception and implementation for several employee award programs.

Prior to joining PixelMEDIA, Mr. Whittaker was active in the United States Marine Corps, which provided a solid foundation and numerous growth opportunities for his educational background. Mr. Whittaker was recognized twice in the Department of Defense newspaper awards in 1997 and 1998. He also received two Navy Achievement Medals and numerous letters of appreciation during his military service.

Chris Consorte, CEO of Integrated Direct

On Tuesday, August 8, our guest will be Chris Consorte.

Chris Consorte has spent his entire career working on various marketing and new media projects on both the agency and client-side of business. He is the founder, and CEO, of Integrated Direct and Integrated Interactive – full-service direct and interactive marketing agencies.

Prior to Integrated Direct, Mr. Consorte spent 10 years in various corporate marketing positions. Most recently, he was Director of Marketing for BLS Funding, a $1.5MM mortgage brokerage and banking firm. Prior to BLS Fuding, he was Director of Web Marketing for Jupiter Media Metrix where he managed e-mail marketing, online advertising and direct marketing efforts. Prior to Jupiter Media Metrix, he managed e-commerce and direct marketing efforts for John Wiley & Sons Publishing.

Mr Consorte has a B.S. in Marketing from St. John's University and an M.S. in Direct and Interactive Marketing from New York University. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Marketing and Management at Long Island University, Fashion Institute of Technology, IONA, Mercy and Baruch Colleges.

Doug Perlson, Kanoodle

On Tuesday, February 28th, our guest will be Doug Perlson from Kanoodle.

Before joining Kanoodle, Doug was Senior Vice President, Partner Development and Operations for About, Inc. While there, he helped grow the Luna Network, a start up ad network based on niche site partnerships, to over one billion ad impressions per month.
