Search Engine Direct Marketing
In today's show, Brad spoke with Matt Naeger, Senior VP and General Counsel for IMPAQT, a search engine marketing firm that combines database marketing tools and business intelligence methodologies.
Matt spoke about IMPAQT's unique approach to search marketing, focusing on database marketing and analytical research to drive strategies and campaigns. This is very unique approach to SEM, drawing the the core features of database marketing and applying them to paid and organic search efforts.
Matt also spoke about trademark issues with respect to search. One of the major issue is this area is whether you should be allowed to bid on a PPC keyword that is is trademark-protected (such as a competitor or product brand name).
