Do you know someone who would make a great guest on Search Engine Radio? Is there a topic that you want us to focus on in an upcoming show?

We would love to hear you ideas and suggestions, as well as any other feedback on the show. You can either post a message in the forum, or send us an email at beck@seoradio.com. Thanks!

Hi,

(Did my Ken Giddens request end up where it should?)

I would love to hear Ken Giddens expand on some things I heard from him in a seminar. See post under separate heading in the Forum?

A good subject in my opinion would be internal linking strategies. Everyone knows about getting external links, but knowing how to properly setup internal links is important as well. If it has been covered, I apologize.

I'm a newby at this, however, I've been researching my competitors backlinks on Google and I notice on many sites the backlinks show a large quantity of links that seem to be coming from the site itself...is that internal linking and why does it show up on backlinks? I thought backlinks only showed links that came from other websites?

So, my suggestion is to spend some of your time on a future show discussing this and its relevance if any.

Thanks
Eric

Hi Brad,
A guest suggestion would be, Mike Glaspie.

He's the guy that founded and runs sites like FreelinksNetwork.com, FreeMarketingInfo.biz, NoBSZone.com, MySiteInc.com, NetMarketing2004.com, and several other sites, all of which are reported to be easily within the top 1% of all sites visited online.

Now he says he has "A brand new approach to search engines."

Move over Google! Look out Yahoo!...

ZABANG™ is coming to town!

It would be interesting to have him on your show.

I would put in a vote for Ken Giddens. Heard him on a conference call and think the Ken/Brad interaction would be great.

A good topic would be RSS feeds and how having one on your website can drive traffic and sales. Also how to use your blog or multiple blogs as RSS feeds that also benefit your main website for traffic and sales.

I would like to hear Brad Callen AND Shawn Pringle on the show. I've heard them separate and both were good. I'd love to hear them both talk about Total Optimizer Pro!

Shawn Pringle would be good. An update with Glenn Canady would be really good.

I think a good topic would be tightly themed links vs. just getting links from anywhere.

Search engines are stupid. If your site deals with penis enlargement, you should only exchange links with sites that contain penis enlargement in their text.

I’m writing to pitch the show idea “Searching for more than search’s sake: Make your content web standards compliant for accessibility and get better search results in the process” with guest interview David Cummings.

Premise: The legal push for web accessibility (directly related to W3C HTML/XHTML web standards) is increasing, even into the corporate sector. In September 2006, a legal precedent was set for web accessibility when a federal judge sustained discrimination claims against retailing giant Target. This precedent means that retailers must make their e-commerce sites accessible to the blind under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The problem isn’t that companies don’t want to allow disabled people equal access to their websites, but rather many of them don’t have a clear understanding of the inhibiting elements or how to resolve their sites’ accessibility problems. What many companies don’t know is that getting a website up to par with accessibility standards also improves its search rankings.

David’s bio follows, as well as additional resources on the hot topic of web accessibility. Please let me know if this or a similar topic is of interest to your show, and I can arrange for David to give you an interview. I can be reached at kcabera@carabinerpr.com or 310-571-3766.

Thanks in advance,

Kathy Cabrera
